Business Applications
Dynamics 365 implementation partner in Seattle.
The design comes first.
Sales, Customer Service, Field Service and the Power Platform underneath them. Process mapped first, security model designed with the data model, environments separated before anyone ships a change. Senior-led and fixed-fee.
Outbound marketing was removed from Dynamics 365 Customer Insights - Journeys in May 2026. The assets were not deleted: emails, forms, marketing pages, consent data and lead-scoring models are all still in the tenant and cannot be used in real-time journeys, outbound segments still appear but no longer update, and existing custom Power BI reports built on outbound marketing do not work against the consolidated data.
A Dynamics 365 implementation partner turns a business process into a working system. That means mapping how sales, service or field work runs today, designing the Dataverse data model and the security roles that support it, configuring the Dynamics 365 apps against that design, migrating the data worth keeping, and handing over an environment your own admins can run.
Pro IT NW scopes and delivers that work senior-led and fixed-fee, from Seattle and across the Puget Sound region, USA-wide. Scope covers Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service, Field Service and Customer Insights, plus the Power Platform underneath: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages and Copilot Studio. Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, and Business Central, are not in Pro IT NW's scope, and we will say so early rather than late. Labor-only — we do not resell Microsoft licensing and take no commission on it.

Service detail
Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, designed before configured
Most failed Dynamics implementations were decided in the first three weeks, before anyone touched a form. The process map, the security model and the environment strategy are the engagement — the configuration is what follows from them.
What's in scope
- ›Process mapping first — what sales, service or field work actually does today, before anything is configured
- ›Dataverse data model and the security model together: business units, teams, roles, field-level security
- ›Dynamics 365 app configuration — Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Customer Insights
- ›Power Apps (model-driven and canvas), Power Automate flows, Power BI reporting on Dataverse
- ›Power Pages where customers, contractors or partners need access from outside the tenant
- ›Environment strategy and ALM: separate dev, test and production, with a solution promotion path
- ›DLP and connector governance, so Power Platform cannot bridge business and personal data by default
- ›Entra ID integration and Conditional Access scoped to the Dynamics environments
- ›Data migration from legacy CRM or on-premises Dynamics, triaged rather than lifted wholesale
- ›Customer Insights - Journeys remediation after the outbound marketing removal: rebuilding journeys, events and forms in real-time, and re-pointing reporting
- ›Copilot for Sales and Copilot Studio where AI is genuinely on the roadmap, not as a default inclusion
Why these implementations go sideways
- ›The CRM is configured before anyone agrees what a qualified lead, a closed case or a completed job actually is
- ›The security model is designed after the data model, so business units get retrofitted onto records that already exist
- ›Everything is built in the Default environment — no dev, no test, and no way to ship a change safely
- ›No DLP policy is ever set, so a maker connects a business connector to a personal one and nobody sees it
- ›Licensing is picked from a summary table: Sales Enterprise versus Professional, or per-app versus per-user, decided late and expensively
- ›Legacy CRM data is migrated wholesale, and the new system inherits fifteen years of duplicates on day one
- ›Identity and Conditional Access are treated as somebody else's job, then block the go-live weekend
- ›Adoption is scoped as training at the end, rather than as the reason the process map came first
What you get
- ›A written process map and requirements register — what the system must do, agreed before it is built
- ›A Dataverse data model and a security role matrix showing who can see and change what
- ›An environment and ALM plan with the solution promotion path from development to production
- ›A DLP and connector governance baseline, written down rather than left at the tenant default
- ›A data migration plan that states plainly what is coming across and what is being left behind
- ›A configured system and an admin runbook your own people can operate — yours to keep
FAQ
Common questions about Dynamics 365 implementation.
What does a Dynamics 365 implementation partner do?
A Dynamics 365 implementation partner turns a business process into a working system: mapping how sales, service or field work actually runs today, designing the Dataverse data model and security roles that support it, configuring the Dynamics 365 apps against that design, migrating the data worth keeping, and handing over an environment your own admins can run. The work that decides whether it lands is mostly done before anything is configured — process mapping, the security model, and an environment strategy that separates development from production. Pro IT NW scopes and delivers this senior-led and fixed-fee from Seattle, USA-wide.
Is Pro IT NW a Microsoft Dynamics 365 partner?
Pro IT NW is an independent Microsoft consultancy — labor-only, vendor-neutral, no licensing resale and no vendor commissions, which means nothing about our recommendation depends on which product you buy. When people search for a "Dynamics 365 partner in Seattle" they are usually looking for a firm to hire, and that is the sense in which the word applies here. Not in the badge sense, though, and we would rather be direct about it: Pro IT NW is enrolled in the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program but has not earned a Solutions Partner designation on the Business Applications path — the badge Microsoft renamed "Solutions Partner for AI Business Solutions" in August 2026 — so we do not claim one, and we will not until it is earned. Our reasoning on badges generally is at https://www.proitnw.com/about/why-no-partner-badges/.
Which Dynamics 365 apps does Pro IT NW implement?
Pro IT NW implements the customer engagement side and the Power Platform underneath it: Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service, Field Service and Customer Insights, on Dataverse, together with Power Apps (model-driven and canvas), Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages and Copilot Studio. We do not implement Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, or Business Central. Those are ERP practices with their own implementation methodology, their own ISV ecosystem and their own licensing model, and a firm that claims all of Dynamics 365 as one offering is telling you something about its scoping rather than its capability. If your requirement is ERP we will say so on the first call and it costs you nothing.
Who does the Dynamics 365 implementation work at Pro IT NW?
A senior Dynamics 365 and Power Platform specialist team, engaged and managed by Pro IT NW under a single scope and a single invoice. Pro IT NW delivers the parts that sit in your Microsoft tenant directly — Entra ID identity, Conditional Access for the environments, tenant governance, and the integration between Dynamics and the rest of Microsoft 365 — because that is our own practice. The application build is delivered by specialists who do it full time. The senior-led promise holds either way: there are no juniors learning on your project, and you deal with one accountable party rather than a chain of them.
What is replacing Microsoft Dynamics?
Nothing is replacing Dynamics 365 — it is the current product line and Microsoft is still shipping it. The question usually comes from somewhere else: the older on-premises products that carried the plain "Microsoft Dynamics" name are winding down, and their customers are being moved onto Dynamics 365. Microsoft's own lifecycle documentation says it will end Dynamics GP support on December 31, 2029 for product enhancements, tax updates and technical support, with security updates available until April 30, 2031, and points customers at Dynamics 365 Business Central. Where you land depends on which product you are leaving. If you are moving off a legacy CRM, or off an on-premises Dynamics CRM install, the destination is the Dynamics 365 customer engagement apps on Dataverse — Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Customer Insights — and that is the work Pro IT NW does. If you are moving off a legacy ERP such as Dynamics GP, the destination is Business Central or Finance and Operations, which Pro IT NW does not implement. We will tell you which of the two you are on the first call, and it costs you nothing.
How much does it cost to implement Dynamics 365?
Pro IT NW prices Dynamics 365 implementations fixed-fee per engagement, scoped in writing before any work starts, with the scope and the number agreed together — the fixed fee is the commitment, so an implementation that runs longer than we estimated is our problem rather than a bigger invoice. Time-and-materials appears only against a change order you approve first, never as a way to reprice the original scope. Licensing is separate and it is yours: we are labor-only, we do not resell Microsoft licensing and we take no commission on it, so we have no reason to steer you toward a larger SKU than the work needs. Three things move the number, and you can estimate your own position on each before you call us: how many distinct business processes are in scope (one sales pipeline is not the same job as sales plus service plus field dispatch); how many users, because that drives security-role design and training rather than licence count; and the state of the data you are bringing, which is usually the largest single variable — a clean export from one system is a different engagement from fifteen years of a legacy CRM with no deduplication. Tell us those three and you get a range within two business days.
