Microsoft 365 / Sub-service 05
Microsoft 365 modernization consultant.
Modernize the tenant you already pay for.
Most M365 tenants are running 2020-era configurations on 2026 licensing. Defender features unused. Intune deployed only to phones. No Purview, no labels, no DLP. Modernization captures the value you've been paying for and never collected.

FAQ
Common questions about tenant modernization.
What does a Microsoft 365 modernization consultant do?
A Microsoft 365 modernization consultant takes the M365 tenant a customer already pays for and brings the configuration up to current best practice. Scope: tenant baseline assessment (configuration, license inventory, security posture, identity state), Conditional Access policies and MFA enforcement, Microsoft Defender XDR rollout (Office 365 / Endpoint / Identity), Microsoft Intune endpoint management baselines, Microsoft Purview governance (sensitivity labels, DLP, retention), Power Platform DLP boundaries, tenant-level security baselines, license-optimization analysis (most E5 tenants use only 30% of licensed features). Output is a 90-180 day phased modernization roadmap, documented configuration, ongoing operations runbooks, and an annual savings estimate from license right-sizing.
What's the difference between an M365 migration and an M365 modernization?
Migration moves data from somewhere else into Microsoft 365 — mailboxes, files, identities. Modernization takes the tenant you already use and brings the configuration up to current best practice — Conditional Access, Defender, Intune, Purview, license-feature utilization. Most companies need modernization more than migration; the data is already in the cloud, the configuration just hasn't been touched in five years.
How long does a tenant baseline assessment take?
Two weeks. We pull tenant configuration, license inventory, security posture, and identity state. Output is a written report with prioritized findings, a 90–180-day modernization roadmap, and a license-optimization recommendation with annual savings estimate.
Are you Microsoft Solutions Partner-certified?
We're a labor-only consultancy and don't carry vendor partner badges. We're Microsoft-credentialed engineers — but we don't resell Microsoft licenses or take CSP margin. The recommendation reflects what fits your tenant, not what pays us. See our procurement model on the home page.
Can you help us actually use the Defender / Purview / Intune features we're paying for?
That's the whole point of modernization. Most E5 tenants use 30% of the licensed features. We baseline what's deployed, surface the gap, and roll out Defender XDR, Intune endpoint baselines, Purview labels and DLP, Conditional Access tightening, and Power Platform DLP boundaries on a phased plan. License-optimization analysis runs in parallel — sometimes the right answer is downgrading some seats.
